The Royal Society for the Conservation of Nature has registered “new and rare” species that live in the mudflat area, locally referred to as Al Qaa, which was included in the Azraq Wetland Reserve in 2017.

According to Jordan News Agency, Petra, the mudflat used to witness human violations against the area’s biodiversity before the inclusion, which has saved a wide range of migratory birds and animals.
